The Disney+ and Hulu October 2026 line-up has been revealed, with a packed month of new and returning series, major movie additions and plenty of Halloween viewing.
Highlights include the premiere of Marvel Studios’ VisionQuest, the return of American Horror Story, new seasons of Abbott Elementary, Reasonable Doubt, 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville, alongside a sizeable collection of horror films arriving for the Halloween season.
‘American Horror Story: 13’
American Horror Story: 13 kicks off the month on Hulu on October 1 with a three-episode premiere at 9pm PT. The latest instalment of FX’s long-running anthology series brings back a number of familiar faces, with subsequent episodes continuing throughout October.
The official American Horror Story podcast will also return alongside the new season, with new episodes released on Hulu.
‘Adventure Time: Side Quests’ Season 2
Adventure Time: Side Quests Season 2 arrives on Disney+ and Hulu on October 2, with all episodes available to stream at launch.
The animated series expands the world of Adventure Time through standalone adventures and returns as one of the first major Disney+ and Hulu additions of the month.
‘Reasonable Doubt’ Season 4
Reasonable Doubt Season 4 premieres on Hulu on October 6 with three episodes available immediately.
The Hulu Original legal drama returns as part of a busy first week for the streamer, alongside new episodes of FX’s The Drop: A Snowfall Saga and a number of returning podcast series.
‘Abbott Elementary’ Season 6
Abbott Elementary Season 6 premieres on Hulu on October 8 following its ABC broadcast.
The Emmy-winning workplace comedy returns with Quinta Brunson and the staff of Abbott Elementary for another season, with new episodes continuing weekly throughout the month.
‘VisionQuest’
Marvel Studios’ VisionQuest premieres exclusively on Disney+ on October 14. The series sees Vision searching for new meaning after escaping those who sought to weaponise him, while confronting AI personas embedded within his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron.

‘The Lowdown’ Season 2
FX’s The Lowdown Season 2 also arrives on Hulu on October 14, launching with a two-episode premiere at 6pm PT.
Its return makes October 14 one of the month’s busiest streaming dates, with VisionQuest, the new season of The Lowdown and the complete Hunger Games film collection all landing on the same day.
‘9-1-1’ And ‘9-1-1: Nashville’
9-1-1 Season 10 and 9-1-1: Nashville Season 2 both premiere on Hulu on October 16 after airing on ABC.
The two returning dramas give Hulu another pair of established network titles heading into the second half of the month.
Halloween Movies On Hulu
October also brings a substantial selection of films to Hulu. Barbarian, Edward Scissorhands, the first three Ghostbusters films and Hotel Transylvania arrive on October 1, while The Substance follows on October 2.
A24 horror favourites Hereditary and Midsommar arrive on October 3. The full Hunger Games collection, including The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, joins Hulu on October 14.

Other October additions include Coven Academy, Between Steps, Merry Berry Love, Surviving Alaska: Women of the Wild, Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself, Beyblade X Season 3A, Africa: Earth’s Wild Home and new Halloween specials from Big City Greens, Kiff and Phineas and Ferb.
Disney+ will also continue streaming Dancing with the Stars live throughout the month, while Hulu adds new episodes of several ABC and FX series each week.
