Saturday Night Live UK has been extended to eight episodes ahead of its debut this weekend.
Originally commissioned for six live shows on Sky, the broadcaster has opted to expand the run with two additional 75-minute episodes, signalling strong confidence in the revival. The first episode airs tomorrow night, March 21, at 10pm in the UK.
30 Rock creator Tina Fey will host the inaugural episode, with Wet Leg as the musical guest. Jamie Dornan and Riz Ahmed are set to front the following instalments, alongside performances from Wolf Alice and Kasabian.

They join SNL UK’s debut cast, which includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.
The series is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK team and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW. Lorne Michaels executive produces, with James Longman serving as lead producer, Liz Clare directing, and Daran Jonno Johnson as head writer.
Speaking earlier this week, Sky CEO Dana Strong described the show as an opportunity to bring “one of the world’s most iconic shows” to a British audience, backed by a significant investment in the UK comedy landscape.
