Disney says Avengers: Doomsday has already generated $50 million in advance ticket sales, despite the film still being three months away from its cinema release.
The early milestone was revealed by Disney Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Hugh Johnston during the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference on September 9.
It is another indication of the enormous demand surrounding the next Marvel Studios event film, which brings the Avengers back to cinemas on December 18, 2026.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Hits $50 Million In Presales

Johnston discussed the strength of Disney’s upcoming theatrical slate during the investor conference, pointing to the unusually early demand for Doomsday.
According to TheWrap, Johnston said: “We already have $50 million of presales.”
The figure is particularly notable because tickets have been available months ahead of release. Disney’s own investor site confirms Johnston appeared at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference on September 9, where he took part in a question-and-answer session covering the company’s outlook and upcoming releases.
Rather than measuring opening-weekend sales alone, the $50 million figure represents advance demand while audiences are still several months away from seeing the film.
Most ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Presales Are For Premium Screens

Disney also says approximately 70% of the advance tickets sold so far are for premium-format screenings carrying its new Infinity Vision label.
Infinity Vision is Disney and Marvel’s new premium cinema certification, designed to identify auditoriums that meet a collection of presentation standards rather than representing one single projection technology. The new certification is set to debut with Avengers: Endgame Encore returning to cinemas. Marvel has been using that re-release to introduce audiences to Infinity Vision ahead of Doomsday.
Why Is ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Such A Big Release For Marvel?

Doomsday is the first Avengers film since Avengers: Endgame concluded the Infinity Saga in 2019.
The film brings together characters from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the Fantastic Four and returning members of the X-Men, for the next major crossover in the Multiverse Saga.
Robert Downey Jr. returns to Marvel in a new role as Doctor Doom, while Chris Evans is also among the returning stars.
With a large ensemble, returning legacy characters and direct connections to several recent Marvel projects, the film is positioned as arguably Disney’s biggest theatrical release of the year.
