Sacha Baron Cohen has returned to cinemas as Ali G in Ali G: Who Iz I?, which opened in the UK and US on October 23, 2026. Following its theatrical debut, the Amazon MGM Studios comedy is scheduled to arrive on Prime Video on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
The newly confirmed streaming date comes just five days after the film’s cinema release, replacing our earlier prediction of a January 2027 launch. A separate release date for digital purchase or rental has not been announced.
When Will ‘Ali G: Who Iz I?’ Stream On Prime Video?
Ali G: Who Iz I? is confirmed for Prime Video on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. That is just five days after its theatrical opening on October 23, marking a much shorter wait than originally expected.
Amazon MGM has taken different approaches depending on the film. Its February 13 theatrical release Crime 101 was included with Prime Video in the UK from April 1, just 47 days later. At the other end of the scale, Project Hail Mary opened in US cinemas on March 20 and arrived on Prime Video worldwide on July 3, 105 days later.
Unlike those films, Ali G: Who Iz I? is moving to Prime Video almost immediately after its cinema debut. Our previous December 2026 and January 2027 release predictions are therefore no longer applicable.
Will ‘Ali G: Who Iz I?’ Be Available To Rent Or Buy Digitally?
A separate digital purchase and rental release date has not yet been confirmed. The October 28 date refers to the film’s announced arrival on Prime Video, rather than a confirmed release across other digital stores.
It is important to distinguish a Prime Video streaming release from a paid rental or purchase listing. The film’s arrival on Prime Video does not automatically establish when it will be sold or rented through other platforms.
What Is ‘Ali G: Who Iz I?’ About?
The film follows Ali G as he heads to America to revive his career after learning that his long-term girlfriend Julie, played by Morgana Robinson, is pregnant. Baron Cohen directs the comedy, which arrives more than two decades after the character’s earlier big-screen appearance.
See the film’s official UK release page for the theatrical details.
