With Minions & Monsters now arriving in cinemas, many fans of the Despicable Me franchise are already wondering when the latest Minions adventure will be available to stream at home.
While the Illumination animated film is receiving an exclusive theatrical release first, here’s what we know so far about its likely streaming future in both the US and UK.
What Is ‘Minions & Monsters’ About?

Produced by Illumination and Universal Pictures, Minions & Monsters is directed by Pierre Coffin and serves as the third film in the Minions prequel series, as well as the seventh overall instalment in the Despicable Me franchise.
Set in 1920, the film follows the Minions as they attempt to make their own monster movie in Old Hollywood, with their chaotic plans soon involving real creatures, alien robots and classic Hollywood mayhem.
The voice cast includes Pierre Coffin as the Minions, alongside Trey Parker, Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeff Bridges, Zoey Deutch, Bobby Moynihan and Phil LaMarr.
When Will ‘Minions & Monsters’ Release On Streaming?

Universal has not officially confirmed a streaming release date for Minions & Monsters yet.
However, as a Universal and Illumination release, the film is expected to stream on Peacock first in the US. Universal’s animated films then typically move to Netflix for the next stage of their streaming window, before later returning to Peacock.
If Minions & Monsters follows a similar release pattern to other recent Universal animated releases, it could arrive on Peacock around 120 days after its theatrical debut. With the film releasing in US cinemas on July 1, 2026, that would point towards a possible Peacock release around late October or early November 2026.
That timeline would also broadly match The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, another Universal and Illumination release, which has been confirmed for Peacock on July 30 in the US.
When Will ‘Minions & Monsters’ Be On Sky Cinema And NOW In The UK?

In the UK, Minions & Monsters is expected to stream on Sky Cinema and NOW.
A UK streaming date has not been confirmed yet, but recent Universal and DreamWorks animated releases suggest fans may be waiting until 2027. Despicable Me 4 arrived on Sky Cinema and NOW in April 2025, while The Bad Guys 2 arrived on Sky Cinema and NOW in April 2026.
Based on that pattern, Minions & Monsters may not arrive on Sky Cinema and NOW until spring 2027, although this has not yet been officially announced.
It is also worth noting that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie could be positioned as a major Christmas Day release for Sky Cinema and NOW in the UK, meaning Minions & Monsters may be saved for a later 2027 streaming slot.
Will ‘Minions & Monsters’ Be Available To Rent Or Buy Digitally First?

Before arriving on streaming, Minions & Monsters will likely become available to rent or purchase digitally through platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video and Google Play.
Universal usually releases major theatrical titles digitally before they arrive on subscription streaming, meaning viewers may be able to watch the film at home earlier through Premium Video On Demand services.
