Disney and Pixar have announced that broadcasters and TV personalities Jordan North and Sian Welby will appear as UK voice cameos in Toy Story 5, which releases in cinemas on June 19.
The pair join an already star-studded global cast that includes Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Conan O’Brien, Greta Lee and Tony Hale.
Jordan North and Sian Welby Join the Toy Box
North and Welby will voice ‘Garden Gnome’ and ‘Inflatable Flamingo’ respectively in the UK version of the film, marking both presenters’ Disney voice acting debuts.
Speaking about joining the franchise, Welby said:
“The characters and world of Toy Story have formed such an iconic part of so many people’s childhoods, including mine, so being part of the journey has been a dream come true!”
North added:
“Being part of Toy Story 5 is a pinch-me moment. I grew up loving these films, so getting to join the gang is pretty surreal and special.”
‘Toy Story 5’ Brings ‘Toy Meets Tech’
The fifth instalment in the beloved Pixar franchise sees Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the gang facing a brand-new challenge as they come face-to-face with Lilypad, a tablet device with disruptive ideas about what is best for Bonnie.
Toy Story 5 is directed by Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris, and produced by Lindsey Collins. The film also sees Randy Newman return to compose the score for his fifth Toy Story feature.
