With Hoppers now out in cinemas worldwide, many viewers are already asking the same question: when will it be available to stream, and where can you watch it in the US and the UK?
While the film is set for a full theatrical release first, here’s what we know so far about its eventual streaming debut on Disney+, including an estimated release date for the new furry film.
What is ‘Hoppers’ about?

Hoppers is Pixar’s latest original animated adventure, blending sci-fi comedy with an environmental twist. The film follows Mabel Tanaka, an animal-loving teenager whose mind is transferred into a lifelike robotic beaver after scientists invent a way to “hop” human consciousness into animal bodies. As Mabel navigates the animal kingdom from the inside, she sets out to stop a construction company threatening to destroy the local habitat.
Directed by Daniel Chong and written by Jesse Andrews, Hoppers is produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. The voice cast includes Piper Curda as Mabel, alongside Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Kathy Najimy, Dave Franco, Aparna Nancherla and Meryl Streep.
When will ‘Hoppers’ release on Disney+?

As a Pixar film, Hoppers will eventually stream exclusively on Disney+ following its theatrical run.
Disney has not confirmed an official streaming date yet. Recent Pixar and Disney releases have typically arrived on Disney+ roughly three months after their theatrical debut. If Hoppers follows a similar pattern to Elio, which premiered on Disney+ around 12 weeks after its cinema release, the film could begin streaming in late May or early June 2026.
Because Disney controls global distribution for Pixar films, the movie should arrive on Disney+ in both the US and UK at the same time.
Will ‘Hoppers’ be available to rent or buy digitally first?

Before arriving on Disney+, Hoppers will likely become available to rent or buy digitally on platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video and Google Play. This usually happens several weeks before a film begins streaming on Disney+.
Hoppers releases in cinemas on March 6. Check out the trailer below:
