Disney+ has announced a new three-year deal to bring LALIGA matches to subscribers in the UK and Ireland, kicking off on 16 August 2025. As part of the standard subscription, fans will be able to stream a live Saturday night fixture every week, featuring iconic clubs like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Atlético de Madrid.
The season opens with Valencia CF vs Real Sociedad, live from the Mestalla Stadium at 8:30pm UK time, exclusively on Disney+.
Football Meets Storytelling on Disney+

Live coverage will be handled by ESPN, reinforcing Disney’s ongoing push into premium sports broadcasting. Commentary will come from top-tier talent, including Steve McManaman, Stewart Robson, Ian Darke, and Rob Palmer. In addition to live matches, ESPN UK’s digital platforms, including YouTube and social channels, will offer highlights, analysis, and updates throughout the season.
The Spanish league remains the most-followed overseas league in the UK, bolstered by major signings like Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold, both now playing for Real Madrid. Rising Spanish stars like Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, and Alex Baena continue to capture attention across Europe.
LALIGA Isn’t The Only Football Headed to Disney+ This Year

This deal adds to a growing sports lineup on Disney+. From October 2025, the platform will also be the exclusive home of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in Europe for five seasons.
In a statement, Karl Holmes, General Manager of Disney+ EMEA, said:
“At Disney, we celebrate storytelling that moves and excites. Now, with LALIGA joining the line-up, fans can experience that same excitement on the pitch with legendary clubs and global superstars—all as part of their Disney+ subscription.”
LALIGA President Javier Tebas added:
“Today begins a new era in LALIGA’s broadcast distribution in the UK and Ireland. We’re proud to break new ground with an exclusive Saturday night match on Disney+ which will give unparalleled access to LALIGA fans of all ages.”
