British claymation legends Wallace and Gromit are making their way to Netflix UK, as Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl begins streaming from June 25. The stop-motion caper, which first aired on BBC One on Christmas Day 2024, marks the duo’s first full-length film in almost two decades. It’s still available to watch on BBC iPlayer for the next six months, although it’s currently unknown if the BBC plans to extend the streaming window beyond that.
Directed by franchise creator Nick Park and co-director Merlin Crossingham, this latest adventure reintroduces the cunning criminal penguin Feathers McGraw, last seen in the short The Wrong Trousers. When Wallace invents a “smart” robotic garden gnome called Norbot, the invention quickly falls into the wrong wings, forcing Gromit into action once again to save the day – and his owner.
The film stars Ben Whitehead as Wallace, stepping into the role previously voiced by the late Peter Sallis. It also features Peter Kay as Chief Inspector Mackintosh, Lauren Patel as PC Mukherjee, and Reece Shearsmith as the malfunctioning Norbot. The casting honours the eccentric tone of the Aardman universe while adding a fresh energy to the returning faces.
Aardman’s Award-Winning Return With ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’

The release of Vengeance Most Fowl marks a triumphant return for Aardman Animations to the feature-film format, their first since Early Man. It received critical acclaim upon release, currently holding a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes and securing wins at both the BAFTAs and Golden Globes for Best Animated Feature. It was also nominated for an Academy Award, reasserting the cultural staying power of Britain’s favourite inventor and dog duo.
The visuals in Vengeance Most Fowl are sharper than ever, with meticulous claymation enhanced by modern camera work and lighting. The story – balancing slapstick chaos, sci-fi gadgetry, and gentle British wit – slots seamlessly into the Wallace & Gromit canon while feeling current. Notably, Park and Crossingham deliver a plot that appeals to both nostalgic fans and first-time viewers, striking that ever-difficult balance between legacy and reinvention.
With a fresh platform rollout via Netflix UK, even more viewers can experience the film’s charm, precision, and fowl-fuelled chaos. While its long-term future on BBC iPlayer remains unconfirmed, fans have a generous window to catch it there before its exclusive BBC license expires later this year.
Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl arrives on Netflix UK from Wednesday, June 25 .
