Creature Commandos’ inagural mission of Task Force M has come to an end and the threat of Pokolistan has been defeated. Unfortunately, not everyone came home with the the team facing some brutal losses. With the destruction of GI Robot and the death of Nina Mazursky, that left only The Bride, Dr. Phosphorous, and The Weasel to return home to an injured Rick Flagg Sr. However when they returned home to their newly furnished wing of Belle Reve, they found a few new and a few familiar faces waiting to join the ranks of the Creature Commandos.
Introducing Khalis to the Creature Commandos

The mummy Khalis was an agent of the Super-Human Advanced Defense Executive, better known as S.H.A.D.E. He would eventually join the Creature Commandos alongisde Nina Mazursky, Warren Griffith aka The Werewolf, Vincent Velcoro aka The Vampire, and led by Frankenstein. Khalis has been known to be a the medic of the team in previous iterations.
Khalis is one of two Mummy’s that have been apart of the team. The other being Aten, a ressurected pharoah covered in bandages with magical healing properties that could be transferred to allies.
Nosferata

Hailing from the Wild Lands, an island located within the Pacific Ocean between the United States and Hawaii and a product of Project Moreau. Nosferata was a vampire created in the 1940’s as a result of an experiment conducted by Dr. Michael Grant where he developed a race of hyper-intelligent bipedal animals known as “furries”. Yes, that’s serious. Nosferata sought to rule the Wild Lands by attempting to assasinate King Caesar of the Tigers, the ruling class of the Furries and the ones who established the capital city of Roam.
Nosferata can be seen multiple times in the series but never in a speaking role. She can usually be spotted in the background, primarily within the cafeteria in which she features in her most prominent scene. Hanging out with Congorilla and antagonizing Nina, stealing her lunch and then having to watch the Bride beat the gorilla to death. Nosferata is then called ugly by Dr. Phosphorous.
Introducing… GI Robot 2.0

How about a friendly face? Did you think GI Robot would really be gone forever? Who would kill all the Nazis? Yes, GI Robot returns in the final moments of the finale but definitely is looking a bit different. It seems Waller was not ready to give up on this fascist fighting machine, even taking the time to give him some upgrades…well “some” is a stretch, casting a shadow over what he once was as he is massive now. Seems stealth missions are out of the quest for this fella.

Nanaue aka. King Shark returns in ‘Creature Commandos’

Is King Shark a friendly face? He only really has one face, well maybe two with the other being hungry. Nanaue makes his DCU debut as one of the few characters making the universe jump to from the DCEU. It’s left a bit unclear just how and why King Shark has ended up back in Belle Reve and on one of Amanda Waller’s task forces but he seems to be enjoying himself and is most definitely being well fed so.
The confusion comes from the ending of The Suicide Squad, which we can only assume is still canon to this version of the character. At the end of the film, Robert Dubois, aka Bloodsport, is able to secure the teams freedom and future safety from Waller by blackmailing her with the information pulled from Jotunheim by Rick Flagg. So King Shark once again being locked up would break that deal made between Bloodsport and Waller.
The easiest answer is probably that Bloodsport just doesn’t know, he wouldn’t be able to know. Nanaue also likely doesn’t really understand the situation and just considers Amanda Waller a friend and willingly returned.
