Other Mommy arrives in cinemas on October 9, 2026, bringing Jessica Chastain into a new supernatural horror film from director Rob Savage, producer James Wan and Blumhouse Atomic Monster. But audiences are already asking: When is Other Mommy streaming?
The film is being released by Universal Pictures, giving us a useful recent pattern for when it could move from cinemas to digital platforms, Peacock in the US and eventually Sky Cinema and NOW in the UK.
Here is when Popped currently predicts Other Mommy will begin streaming in the US and UK, when it could become available to rent or buy, and how Universal’s recent horror releases shape those estimates.
When Is ‘Other Mommy’ Released In Cinemas?

Other Mommy was released in cinemas in the UK and US on October 9, 2026.
Universal Pictures confirms the release for the horror film, which is directed by Rob Savage and based on Josh Malerman’s novel Incidents Around the House.
Will ‘Other Mommy’ Stream On Peacock?

In the United States, Peacock is expected to be the first subscription streaming home for Other Mommy.
Universal regularly moves its theatrical films to Peacock during the first part of their Pay-1 window. The exact timing varies depending on the title, with larger films often remaining in cinemas and paid home entertainment for longer before they are added to the service.
That makes Peacock the strongest US prediction for Other Mommy, rather than Netflix or Prime Video at launch.
When Is ‘Other Mommy’ Streaming On Peacock In The US?
Universal has not announced a Peacock release date for Other Mommy, but Black Phone 2 gives us a particularly useful recent comparison.
The Blumhouse horror sequel opened in US cinemas in October 2025 and began streaming on Peacock on January 16, 2026, around three months later.
Popped currently predicts that Other Mommy will arrive on Peacock in the US on Friday, January 15, 2027.
That would be 98 days after its October 9 theatrical release and would put Other Mommy almost exactly in line with the recent Black Phone 2 window.
When Could ‘Other Mommy’ Stream On Sky Cinema And NOW In The UK?

In the UK, Other Mommy is expected to follow Universal’s established relationship with Sky Cinema and NOW after its cinema and paid home-entertainment windows.
Popped has previously tracked that pattern in our guide to The Odyssey. Universal titles generally take substantially longer to reach Sky Cinema in the UK than they do to reach Peacock in the US.
Black Phone 2 again provides the closest comparison. The film opened in October 2025 before reaching Sky Cinema and NOW in June 2026.
Popped currently predicts that Other Mommy will arrive on Sky Cinema and NOW in the UK on Friday, June 11, 2027.
That date would fall 245 days after the cinema release, closely matching the UK window used for Black Phone 2.
When Will ‘Other Mommy’ Be Available To Rent Or Buy Digitally?

Other Mommy should become available to rent or buy digitally well before it reaches Peacock, Sky Cinema or NOW.
Universal has not announced a digital release date. However, recent horror releases from the studio have moved to premium digital platforms only a few weeks after opening in cinemas.
Popped currently predicts a digital rental and purchase release on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. That would give the film a three-week cinema-first window before arriving on Apple TV, Prime Video and other digital storefronts.
What Is ‘Other Mommy’ About?
Other Mommy follows Bela, a young girl who forms a relationship with a sinister entity inside her home that looks uncannily like her own mother.
Jessica Chastain plays both Bela’s mother and the supernatural manifestation known as Other Mommy. Jay Duplass plays Bela’s father, while Arabella Olivia Clark stars as Bela.
The cast also includes Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed and Karen Allen. James Wan produces the film, with Savage directing from a screenplay by Nathan Elston.
Other Mommy is now playing in cinemas. Popped currently predicts a US Peacock release on January 15, 2027 and a UK Sky Cinema and NOW release on June 11, 2027. Both dates remain predictions until Universal confirms the official streaming schedule. Check out a trailer below:
