HBO Max UK October 2026’s listings have been revealed, with new films, HBO Original series, documentaries and comedy arriving throughout the month.
October’s line-up includes Steven Soderbergh’s The Christophers, DC animated series Get Jiro, Rage (Furia) Season 2 and new Silicon Valley satire The Audacity.
The month also marks the beginning of HBO Max’s new UK and Ireland agreement with A24, with Born To Bowl and Backrooms both joining the service.
‘The Christophers’
The Christophers follows London artist Julian Sklar, who has drifted into a cluttered, self-imposed seclusion after becoming a mainstay of the art scene following his breakout in the 1960s.
His two estranged children enlist Lori, a young painter and sometime-forger, to pose as a prospective assistant and gain access to a series of unfinished canvases hidden inside his home studio in a bid to secure their inheritance.
Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the film stars Michaela Coel, Ian McKellen, Jessica Gunning and James Corden.

‘Get Jiro’
Get Jiro transports viewers to a post-apocalyptic, near-future Los Angeles where culinary culture reigns supreme and the world’s most powerful figures are chefs.
In a society where food is both currency and a marker of class, mysterious sushi chef Jiro sets out on a quest for vengeance.
The Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios series stars Brian Tee as Jiro, alongside Titus Welliver, Alison Pill and Justin Kirk. Two episodes will debut in week one, followed by weekly episodes.

‘Rage (Furia)’ Season 2
Rage (Furia) follows several women trapped in a market-driven system where everything is liable to become a lucrative spectacle, forcing them to face increasingly harsh situations with rage as their remaining weapon.
Season 2 stars Maribel Verdú, Carmen Maura, María León, Cecilia Suárez, Ana Mena, Clara Sans, Claudia Salas and Ana Torrent.
The eight-episode season will release weekly on Fridays.

‘The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story’
The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story explores the reopening of a mysterious 1985 cold-case murder in Louisiana, which unearths a haunting history of bloodshed and long-buried trauma.
The three-part HBO Original documentary series is directed and written by Philip Cairney, with episodes debuting weekly on Mondays.
Releasing on HBO Max UK on October 12.
‘Born To Bowl’
Born To Bowl takes viewers inside the colourful world of professional bowling, following five stars of the sport as they chase glory, respect and prize money on the Professional Bowlers Association Tour.
Kyle Troup, Anthony Simonsen, EJ Tackett, Cameron Crowe and Jason Belmonte are followed throughout the documentary series, which is narrated by Liev Schreiber.
The HBO Original comes from A24, Red Hour Films, Mike Tollin Productions, Lucky Strike Entertainment and Blue Pixel. The full series will be available at launch.

‘Moss & Freud’
Moss & Freud follows supermodel Kate Moss as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery when acclaimed artist Lucian Freud offers to paint her portrait.
Written and directed by James Lucas, the film stars Ellie Bamber as Kate Moss and Derek Jacobi as Lucian Freud, alongside Ross Ringwood, Jasmine Blackborow and Lauren O’Hara.
Releasing on HBO Max UK on October 16.
‘Kate Berlant: Parmesan’
Kate Berlant: Parmesan sees Kate Berlant weave through personal stories and stream-of-consciousness reflections on subjects including the moon, her relationship with technology, sexuality and stand-up comedy itself.
Filmed at the Plaza Nightclub in Los Angeles, the HBO Original comedy special is written and performed by Berlant and directed by Doron Max Hagay.
Releasing on HBO Max UK on October 17.
‘The Audacity’
The Audacity is set inside the bubble of Silicon Valley, exploring warped dreams, outsized egos and ethical lapses among the self-styled inventors of the future.
Billy Magnussen stars as Duncan Park, a data-mining CEO looking to turn insight and influence into profit and power in a world of billionaires, psychiatrist-gurus, bio-hacked tech bros, AI labs and elite private schools.
The eight-episode series also stars Sarah Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis, Lucy Punch, Simon Helberg, Rob Corddry, Meaghan Rath and Paul Adelstein, with Randall Park guest starring. Episodes will debut weekly on Thursdays.
Releasing on HBO Max UK on October 22.
‘The Narco Hack’
The Narco Hack explores Sky ECC, an encrypted app deemed impenetrable that became a sanctuary for the criminal underworld, until French investigators managed to hack it.
The three-part HBO Original documentary series is directed by Ksenia Bolchakova and Simon Bouisson, with all episodes available at launch.
Releasing on HBO Max UK on October 23.
‘Backrooms’

Backrooms follows a strange doorway that appears in the basement of a furniture showroom, leading to an endless network of interconnected rooms where time bends and the only thing scarier than getting lost is the sense that something is lying in wait.
Directed by Kane Parsons and based on his viral YouTube series, the A24 film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett and Lukita Maxwell.
The film arrives as part of a new agreement between HBO Max and A24 covering first-run and later-window films and series in the UK and Ireland, alongside a selection of A24 catalogue titles. Additional first-window A24 films will be announced at a later date.
Releasing on HBO Max UK on October 26.
