Prime Video has released a new official trailer for Carrie, the upcoming eight-episode series from Mike Flanagan based on Stephen King’s iconic debut novel.
The new footage offers a longer look at Flanagan’s modern reinvention of Carrie White’s story ahead of the show’s premiere on October 7, 2026.
All eight episodes will arrive at once on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Prime Video unveiled the full official trailer on September 9, following the earlier teaser released around San Diego Comic-Con.
The adaptation brings Carrie’s experiences into the social media age, with the teenager facing a viral bullying scandal alongside the awakening of her telekinetic abilities.
Rather than simply recreating the previous film adaptations, the eight-part format gives the series more room to develop Carrie, her classmates and the town of Chamberlain before the story builds towards its devastating climax.

Prime Video has confirmed that all eight episodes will be released on the same day, meaning viewers will be able to watch the complete limited series immediately rather than waiting for a weekly rollout.
The series will launch in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
What Is ‘Carrie’ About?
The series follows Carrie White, a sheltered high-school student who has spent much of her life isolated at home with her fiercely protective mother, Margaret.
After the sudden death of her father pushes her into public high school, Carrie finds herself navigating an unfamiliar and unforgiving environment. A bullying incident spreads through her community, while Carrie begins to discover mysterious telekinetic powers developing alongside her adolescence.
Across eight episodes, the adaptation expands the characters and tensions surrounding King’s original story, following the choices that eventually build towards a single catastrophic night.
The project marks the first time Carrie has been adapted as a television series, 52 years after King’s novel was first published in 1974.
Who Stars In ‘Carrie’?
Summer H. Howell leads the series as Carrie White after being selected for the role following an extensive casting search that saw more than 1,000 actors read for the part.
Samantha Sloyan stars as Margaret White, Carrie’s mother, alongside Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Alison Thornton as Chris Hargensen and Joel Oulette as Tommy Ross.
The regular cast also includes Josie Totah as Tina, Arthur Conti as Billy, Thalia Dudek as Emaline, Amber Midthunder as Miss Desjardin and Matthew Lillard as Principal Grayle.
Michael Trucco, Crystal Balint, Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, Tim Bagley and Heather Graham are among the series’ guest stars.
Who Made Prime Video’s ‘Carrie’?
Flanagan serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer on the series, as well as directing four of its eight episodes.
Kate Siegel, Axelle Carolyn, Kyra Sedgwick and Hiromi Kamata direct the remaining episodes, while King also serves as an executive producer.
The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios. Flanagan has previously adapted King’s work for projects including Gerald’s Game, Doctor Sleep and The Life of Chuck.
King’s Carrie was first published in 1974 and has since received several screen adaptations, most famously Brian De Palma’s 1976 film starring Sissy Spacek. The original film celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026.
