“The Reality War” – ‘Doctor Who’ Season 2 Finale: Full Cast, Synopsis & Runtime

    Josh Martin-JonesBy Josh Martin-JonesMay 21, 2025

The Reality War is coming. After weeks of cryptic dialogue and teasing glimpses, Doctor Who has finally pulled back the curtain on one of its most mysterious new figures — and the twist is bigger than anyone expected. In a dramatic reveal during The Interstellar Song Contest, Anita Dobson’s enigmatic Mrs Flood was unveiled as none other than the Rani — a classic villain from the show’s storied past, now reimagined in a bi-generated twist that introduces Emmy Award-winner Archie Panjabi into the mix. In the first part of the Doctor Who Season 2 finale, titled Wish World, releasing this week, traps are sprung and old enemies unite as the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda (Varada Sethu) finally arrive home to find a very different world. Can the Doctor see the truth before midnight arrives? Following on from an inevitable cliffhanger, the final part, titled The Reality War, will conclude the season, tying up loose ends – but what is the synopsis and who will appear?
