Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård lead the unusual fantasy romance Wicker, which is arriving in US cinemas on October 23, 2026, ahead of a wider rollout on October 30. UK audiences will get the film in cinemas on October 30.
Black Bear is distributing Wicker directly in both the US and the UK. No digital or subscription-streaming date has been announced, but recent Black Bear releases now give us a much clearer idea of how quickly the film could move from cinemas to home viewing in each territory.
When Will ‘Wicker’ Be Available To Rent Or Buy?

Our US digital prediction is Tuesday, November 24, 2026. Black Bear’s recent US releases have generally moved to premium digital rental and purchase within around a month of their theatrical opening. Shelter went from cinemas on January 30 to digital on February 24, In the Grey moved from May 15 to June 2, Tuner from May 29 to June 23, and Spa Weekend from August 21 to September 22.
November 24 would put Wicker on digital 25 days after its October 30 nationwide expansion in the US, which is almost exactly in line with several of Black Bear’s 2026 releases. It would also keep the release on a Tuesday, which has been the distributor’s preferred day for recent premium digital launches.
For the UK, our current digital prediction is Friday, December 11, 2026. Black Bear UK has generally allowed a slightly longer theatrical window than Black Bear has used for its newest US releases. Longlegs, for example, arrived digitally six weeks after its UK cinema opening, while Conclave was available to rent or buy by early January after opening at the end of November. December 11 is exactly six weeks after Wicker reaches UK cinemas.
An earlier UK launch is still possible if Black Bear decides to align the film more closely with its US home-entertainment release, but the six-week window currently looks like the safer estimate.
When Could ‘Wicker’ Reach A Subscription Streaming Service?

In the UK, Prime Video is our leading prediction, with Friday, May 7, 2027 our current target date. Black Bear UK’s recent catalogue shows a repeated route to Amazon’s subscription service. Relay, Shelter and Whistle have all reached Prime Video in the UK, while Conclave also joined the service after its theatrical and digital windows.
The timing has varied from film to film, but several larger Black Bear UK releases have taken around five to seven months to move onto a subscription service. Shelter, for example, opened in UK cinemas on January 30, 2026 and reached Prime Video on August 7, a 189-day gap. May 7 would also be 189 days after Wicker‘s October 30 UK opening, making it a useful benchmark rather than an arbitrary date.
For the US, our current subscription-streaming prediction is Friday, February 26, 2027. Black Bear’s new domestic distribution operation has been much more consistent on timing than on platform. Shelter reached Starz 112 days after its theatrical release, In the Grey reached Starz after 120 days, and Tuner premiered on Paramount+ 115 days after its May 29 theatrical expansion.
February 26 would be 119 days after Wicker‘s October 30 nationwide US expansion, fitting almost perfectly into that recent pattern. Starz is currently our leading US platform prediction because two of Black Bear’s comparable 2026 releases went there, although Paramount+ remains a realistic alternative after acquiring Tuner. Black Bear has also licensed films to services including Hulu, Peacock and HBO Max, so there is no fixed US output service to rely on yet.
No streaming service has officially announced Wicker in either territory. These dates remain predictions and will be updated once Black Bear or a platform confirms the film’s home release.
What Is ‘Wicker’ About?

Peter Dinklage and Elizabeth Debicki also star. The film is based on the short story The Wicker Husband by Ursula Wills-Jones. Further information can be found on the film’s official website.
