Sky and NOW have released the official trailer for Crystal Lake, the upcoming A24 prequel series expanding the Friday the 13th universe.
The eight-part series stars Linda Cardellini as Pamela “Pam” Voorhees and will be available exclusively on Sky and NOW in the UK and Ireland from October 2026.
Brad Caleb Kane serves as creator, writer, executive producer and showrunner on the series, which is produced by A24.

The trailer puts Pamela Voorhees at the centre of the story, almost a year after her young son Jason drowned in Crystal Lake.
Still consumed by grief, Pam is confronted by two strangers who arrive at her door and begin digging into her past. Their questions set off a disturbing chain of events that draws the wider town into the mystery surrounding her family.
Sky describes the series as blending psychological suspense, mystery and emotional storytelling with the mythology of one of horror’s most enduring franchises.

Crystal Lake is a prequel to Friday the 13th, focusing on Pamela Voorhees before the events that made the franchise famous.
Rather than beginning with Jason as the masked killer audiences know from the films, the series explores the grief, secrets and events surrounding his death and Pam’s life in the town of Crystal Lake.
Original Friday the 13th writer Victor Miller is among the executive producers, alongside Marc Toberoff, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox and Roy Lee.

She is joined by William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom.
