When is ‘Scary Movie 6’ streaming on Paramount+? How to watch in the US and UK

With Scary Movie 6 arriving in cinemas, horror fans are already wondering when the long-awaited return of the parody franchise will eventually make its way to streaming.

Marking the first Scary Movie film involving the Wayans family in over two decades, the new sequel is receiving an exclusive theatrical release first. However, based on Paramount’s recent streaming strategy, there is already a strong indication of where the film could eventually land in both the US and UK.

What is ‘Scary Movie’ about?

The new Scary Movie follows Cindy Campbell and her friends Ray Wilkins, Brenda Meeks and Shorty Meeks as they reunite when the same masked killer from the original film resurfaces.

Directed by Michael Tiddes, the film stars Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans, alongside returning cast members including Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri and Chris Elliott.

The film parodies modern horror hits including Sinners, Longlegs, Smile, M3GAN, The Substance and the recent Scream films, while also bringing back the franchise’s signature meta-horror comedy style.

When will ‘Scary Movie’ release on Paramount+?

As a Paramount Pictures release, Scary Movie will almost certainly stream on Paramount+ following its theatrical run.

Recent Paramount theatrical releases have launched on Paramount+ simultaneously in both the US and UK. While Paramount has not officially confirmed a streaming release date yet, many of the studio’s theatrical releases have arrived on Paramount+ between 45 and 90 days after their cinema debut.

If Scary Movie follows a similar strategy, the film could potentially begin streaming sometime between July and September 2026.

Will ‘Scary Movie’ be available to rent or buy digitally first?

Before arriving on Paramount+, Scary Movie will likely become available to rent or purchase digitally through platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video and Google Play.

Most major theatrical releases receive a Premium Video On Demand window several weeks after their cinema debut, allowing audiences to watch the film at home before it reaches subscription streaming platforms.

Scary Movie releases in cinemas on June 5. Check out a trailer below:
