With Scream 7 heading to cinemas this week, horror fans are already asking the same question: when will it be available to stream, and where can you watch it in the US and the UK?
The seventh instalment in the long-running slasher franchise is getting a full theatrical run first, including IMAX screenings. Here’s what we know so far about its eventual streaming debut.
What is ‘Scream 7’ about?

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realised as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all. The film is directed by Kevin Williamson, who originally created the franchise, and co-written by Williamson and Guy Busick.
The cast includes Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding reprising their roles, alongside newcomers Isabel May, Anna Camp, Mckenna Grace, Joel McHale, as well as appearances from franchise legends David Arquette, Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley. The film is produced by Spyglass Media Group and Project X Entertainment, and distributed by Paramount Pictures.
When is ‘Scream 7’ released in cinemas?

Scream 7 is released in US cinemas on February 27, 2026, with the UK release arriving a day earlier. The film will complete its theatrical run before becoming available on digital and streaming platforms.
At the UK box office, the film opens alongside family animation Hoppers, which will dominate the younger audience market. While the two films target very different demographics, Scream 7 will be competing for premium screens and weekend attention.
Where will ‘Scream 7’ stream in the US?

As a Paramount Pictures release, Scream 7 will head to Paramount+ once its theatrical window concludes. Paramount titles typically stream on the studio’s own platform before moving into later licensing windows.
Recent Paramount theatrical releases have generally arrived on Paramount+ around eight to twelve weeks after their cinema debut, depending on box office performance.
If Scream 7 follows a similar pattern, it is likely to begin streaming in the US in late April or early May 2026, roughly two to three months after its theatrical release.
Where will ‘Scream 7’ stream in the UK?

In the UK, Scream 7 is expected to stream on Paramount+, though this has not yet been officially confirmed. Eventually, after the first streaming window, the film is expected to stream on Netflix in the UK too, though this won’t be for quite some time. Scream VI, for comparison, took 21 months to arrive on the service from its initial theatrical release.
Estimated UK streaming window
Paramount releases in the UK often arrive slightly later than in the US due to Pay 1 agreements.
Based on recent patterns, UK viewers could see Scream 7 become available on Paramount+ and Sky Cinema early-to-mid August 2026, though a short delay compared to the US remains possible.
Will ‘Scream 7’ be available to rent or buy digitally first?

Before reaching subscription streaming platforms, Scream 7 is expected to be available to rent or buy digitally on platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video and Google Play. This typically happens several weeks before the UK Pay 1 window.
