Paramount+ UK & Ireland is assembling a killer cast for its latest original thriller series, The Revenge Club (working title), led by Line of Duty‘s Martin Compston and Slow Horses star Aimée-Ffion Edwards. Based on J.D. Pennington’s upcoming debut novel, The Othello Club, The Revenge Club promises a deliciously dark blend of mystery, satire and slow-burn chaos. This six-part series follows a group of strangers who meet in a divorce support group and end up forming a bond rooted less in healing and more in getting even.
The ensemble cast reads like a dream team of British telly talent: BAFTA and Emmy winner Meera Syal, Sharon Rooney (Barbie), Douglas Henshall (Shetland), and Chaneil Kular (Sex Education) round out the vengeful circle. Amit Shah, Aoife Kennan, and Rob Malone also join, with Niamh Walsh, Wil Coban, Christina Bennington, and Eoin Duffy filling out the supporting line-up.
As their “mischievous pranks” start to veer into full-blown murder territory, the group’s shared pain transforms into something far more dangerous. Expect witty one-liners, moral ambiguity, and more red flags than a group chat reunion with your ex.

Created by Gabbie Asher (The Tattooist of Auschwitz), with episodes written by Doctor Who‘s Matt Jones and Lupin’s Adam Usden, the series is directed by Tim Kirkby (Fleabag) and Daniel O’Hara (Stay Close). Gaumont UK is producing, with international distribution from Fremantle.
Executive producers include Alison Jackson and Jess Connell for Gaumont UK, alongside J.D. Pennington and Gabbie Asher herself.
