After a long wait, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is finally seeing the light of day next week. The Disney+ series was originally announced all the way back in November of 2021, and it’s come a long way since, even getting a title change. Set in an alternate timeline, this Phase 5 MCU project stars Hudson Thames as Spider-Man, who previously voiced the role in What If…? Season 1, Episode 5. After X-Men ‘97 released with 99% of Rotten Tomatoes last year, we’re excited to see how Marvel Animation fares with new projects such as this. ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ Could Be Your New Favorite?
BigScreenLeaks believes this could be one of the freshest takes on Spider-Man that we’ve ever seen, even calling it one of their favorite adaptions of the character. They’re enjoying how much the series is not held back by the greater expanded universe.
