ms marvel social reactions

Although Ms. Marvel won’t be on Disney+ for another two weeks, some members of the press were given access to the first two episodes of the new Marvel series. Although full reviews aren’t yet allowed, below you’ll find some early reactions:

Reactions so far seem to be overwhelmingly positive.

‘Ms. Marvel’ Reactions Soar In!

Still from 'Ms. Marvel'

I've never loved a character like I do Kamala Khan. She's charismatic, smart, funny & adorable. Her family is so lovable. The dynamic is amazing. The animation & graphics are so fun. Into The Spiderverse vibes. Kamala Khan is going to be HUGE. I freaking love #MsMarvel so much. pic.twitter.com/qc3Nnpafft

#MsMarvel is so much fun! A lot of it is slice-of-life based (nice to get the perspective of how regular people in the MCU view the superheroics going on around them). The question of how so many people know what happened in the Endgame final battle is also answered. 😆

Several people say it highlights her culture and ethnicity in a positive way…

#MsMarvel Ep1 and 2 are pure joy! Straightaway thrust you into her cartoonish fangirl world as she struggles with her identity being Pakistani-American. 🇵🇰 She’s excited to have powers but doesn’t know how to use them, ends up fumbling and embarrassed, It’s all very relatable. pic.twitter.com/x7kV0wj1aN

Iman Vellani is perfectly cast as #MsMarvel. she wholly lights up the screen.

ep 1: mostly setup but still fun & i'm loving Kamala's dynamic with her parents, esp her mother. it's inherently South Asian without making it all about her ethnicity. excited to see what comes next!

…as well as her religion, although not all are sold on the representation just yet.

Got the chance to watch the first 2 episodes of Ms Marvel before its release and I’m dying to watch the rest – Pakistanis, Muslims and South Asians will be SO pleasantly surprised 😭♥️ first time I’ve seen meaningful representation in a #Marvel film 🦸🏽‍♀️

It’s not the only possible story about us!!! (I promise) Plus, Kamala’s story in the comics is so deeply shaped by her love for her community, and by the Islamophobia and racism she faces outside of it. (5/6)

Ms. Marvel is an epic, game-changing series for Muslim representation in the MCU. By the time the second episode ended I was already begging for more.

Iman Vellani is a standout as Kamala and I cannot wait to see her in the rest of the series. AND THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD. 😭

Overall, the future seems bright for Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan.

The first two episodes of #MsMarvel are delightful and so much fun. Part superhero origin story, part young woman coming of age and into her own. The cast are wonderful, and newcomer Iman Vellani is especially charming as Kamala Khan. I cannot wait to see where this series goes! pic.twitter.com/ILt38QJaPQ

OMG OMG OMG!! 😍 I can FINALLY tell y’all what I thought about the first 2 episodes of #MsMarvel!! Yayy!

Okay so … The #Marvel bros are probably gonna complain they’re bored with this one? 🙄😒 But that’s okay. This isn’t for them! 😝 This one’s for all my geeky girls of color! pic.twitter.com/3Kd7oJRVZ9
